Symphony Ambassadors Program

As a three-year service-oriented program, the goal of the Symphony Ambassadors is to provide opportunities for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors to enhance their social skills, support the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra and its patrons, and practice communication skills. Membership is open to high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors attending public, private, or home high schools in the Brazos Valley. Typically, students enter the program the summer before their sophomore year and remain Ambassadors through their senior year. The program is not intended to add to the already busy schedules most high schoolers have; it is designed to enhance their schedules. The commitment is manageable, as the group typically meets only once a month for 1-2 hours. Most of the volunteer opportunities and seminars are held on Sunday afternoons at various venues around town.

Senior Ambassadors with three years of service are eligible to compete for one of five scholarships. There are two $1,000 scholarships and three $500 scholarships.
