Join us to celebrate the annual Derby Day gala on Saturday, May 4th, 2024 at the Doug Pitcock '49 Texas A&M Hotel & Conference Center. This year we have much to celebrate! Not only our return to this event, but more importantly to celebrate 41 seasons of artistic musical excellence in the Brazos Valley.

Derby Day starting gates open at 4:30 p.m. for pre-race activities leading up to the “greatest two minutes in sports.” The gala includes a Live Auction, our famous Derby Hat parade, incredible cuisine, and an exciting viewing of the Kentucky Derby broadcast live from the iconic Churchill Downs. Fantastic entertainment will round out the evening.

Derby Day is an award-winning event representing the major fundraising effort of the Brazos Valley Symphony Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and maintaining the high artistic standards of the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra. The Society promotes rich cultural and music education opportunities for the entire community. Proceeds from the evening directly support the Symphony and help make possible the numerous valuable concerts and children’s programs available to the Brazos Valley.
