ABOUT THE GALA
Derby Day 2026 returns on Saturday, May 2, 2026. This award-winning annual gala is the signature fundraising event of the Brazos Valley Symphony Society, supporting the concerts, education programs, and community outreach of the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra.
Guests are invited to enjoy an evening of celebration, live entertainment, and the excitement of the Kentucky Derby.
LOCATION
The Kentucky Derby will be broadcast live from Churchill Downs in the James A. Baker, III Pavilion at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum.
This remarkable venue features the historic 4141 Locomotive, the Marine One helicopter, and Daisy’s Table Café/Market, creating a truly unique and memorable setting for Derby Day.

Gates open at 5:00 PM
Pre-race festivities include cocktails, time to visit with friends, and Silent Auction browsing, leading up to the “greatest two minutes in sports.”

- The always-anticipated Hat Parade
- Exquisite cuisine catered by Chef Tai, with Messina Hof wine at each table
