Marcelo Bussiki - Music Director
Marcelo Bussiki is the current music director/conductor of the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra and has been in the position since 1996. He was recently appointed Chairman of the Fine Arts Department at Blinn College in Bryan.
Dr. Mary Koeninger - Executive Director
Mary Koeninger joined the Brazos Valley Symphony as Executive Director in February 2010. Dr. Koeninger has a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and a Master’s in Applied Music from the University of Texas at Austin. In addition, she has a Doctorate in Education from Texas Tech University.
Dr. Koeninger brings 35 years of management experience in both the public and private sector to the Brazos Valley Symphony. Her background includes teaching music on both the public school and college level, performing as a symphony member, and serving as a symphony board member. She brings a strong background in music, management, resource development, strategic planning, as well as small and large event planning and execution.
Nika Hancock - Office & Patron Relations Manager
Nika Hancock is currently in her fourth season with the Brazos Valley Symphony. Ms. Hancock has lived in the Bryan/College Station area since her family moved to the area in 1986. Nika is a Cum Laude graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. Ms. Hancock has an employment background in education, non-profit management, public relations, writing, and graphic design. She lives in Bryan with her husband, Jubal Hancock.
