Marcelo Bussiki - Music Director
Marcelo Bussiki is the current music director/conductor of the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra and has been in the position since 1996. He was recently appointed Chairman of the Fine Arts Department at Blinn College in Bryan.

Dr. Mary Koeninger - Executive Director
Mary Koeninger joined the Brazos Valley Symphony as Executive Director in February 2010. Dr. Koeninger has a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and a Master’s in Applied Music from the University of Texas at Austin. In addition, she has a Doctorate in Education from Texas Tech University.
Dr. Koeninger brings 35 years of management experience in both the public and private sector to the Brazos Valley Symphony. Her background includes teaching music on both the public school and college level, performing as a symphony member, and serving as a symphony board member. She brings a strong background in music, management, resource development, strategic planning, as well as small and large event planning and execution.

Nika Hancock - Office & Patron Services Manager
Nika Hancock is beginning her fifth season with the Brazos Valley Symphony. Ms. Hancock has lived in the Bryan/College Station area since her family moved to the area in 1986. Nika is a Cum Laude graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. Ms. Hancock has an employment background in education, non-profit management, public relations, writing, and graphic design. She lives in Bryan with her husband, Jubal Hancock. The Hancocks just had their first child, a baby girl, Melanya Rose, in March of 2011!
Gerry Turner - Book Keeper
Gerry Turner began with the Brazos Valley Symphony in December of 2009 and has lived in the Brazos Valley since 1996. She has an educational background in business and accounting and has been working full time as a book keeper since 1993 in a variety of industries including retail, construction, and many other non-profits. She currently lives in Roans Prairie with her husband Steve and three lovable dogs. Their daughter, Jennifer, is studying aerospace engineering at Texas A&M University.
